| Hi Guys I am trying to migrate my Sharepoint 2003 sites to Sharepoint 2007. Before sending out the migration communication, I would like to find out how many sites are being used or view on daily basis or monthly basis. Can some one please tell my how I can find this? Can you please send me step by step instructions. Whether its enabling Logging to checking web logs on the server. How can I enable logging and where can I check the web logs?? Thanks

| I both 2003 and 2007 (or WSS 2.0 and 3.0) you have to enable 'Usage Analysis Processing', which is not enabled by default. In 2003 you need to login to the Centeral Admin page, and select 'Configure usage analysis processing' under Component Configuration. This will allow you to turn it on and view usage going forward, but i'm not sure you will be able to see past usage before having this feature enabled.

| Unfortunatly I don't know that there is away to get usage information on site collections or sites without the usage processing turned on. I'm sure you can look at the IIS logs but I'm pretty sure that will only give you information on the web application, but not the individual site collections or sites.
