You can create a new page layout and brand it any way you like. Once you have it just like you like it. Click the "set as home page" on the page tab under actions. Hope this helps

hi,

i want to create a start page for my wss3 site. i want to create a page where the user can log in first and when the user click on the log in button my wss3 site open.

isn't there a way i can create a new page in sharepoint designer and set it as my home page?
but i dont want it to be like the master page.
