Does anyone know if there is a property that can be crawled in order to pull back the URL for the parent folder of a document in a SharePoint document library?  I’ve been trying to find this for the past few days, but I’ve been running into a lot of dead ends.  I want to stay away from parsing the document URL to get the folder path, because this won't work for search results that don't have an associated IFilter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The only way I know of to get that data is via the Object Model (in code).  There is no property stored with a list item that will give a parent folder URL.  Sorry.
