If I already have Sharepoint Designer 2007 to work on Sharepoint sites, is it advisable to also get Expression Web for work on non-Sharepoint sites? I have heard that Sharepoint Designer can do everything that Expression Web can, but it doesn't necessarily follow that it's the right tool for non-Sharepoint sites. Thoughts?

Thanks,

Steve Manning

I tend to use SharePoint Designer exclusively for SharePoint sites and Expressions for everything else.  There are a lot of features in SPD that get in the way of standard web site development but that doesn't mean you can't use it for both.  I think it's more a matter of personal preference.
